This was my first time using Freelancer.com and the app. First, I tried to get set up authenticating my credit card. They said they would deposit two small amounts to verify. Never happened even though I got an email saying it would. Second, then I tried funding the project and it still showed a zero balance even though my credit card had been debited $948.00. Third, the site has milestones. I hadnt set up any because it was confusing. However, the person I selected for the job did. But, apparently the site has two different types of milestones. One takes money out of the project balance and the other charges your credit card additional money. You cant tell the difference because both are called "milestones". Now Im fighting to get $400 back after the $927 project bid plus fees. Last, I tried contacting someone at Freelancer.com via support tickets. They said they would get back to me with 24hrs. Didnt happen. I also submitted feedback via the app. No response. So I found the support chat. After almost an hour, Im pretty much accepting that the $400 will take a lot of work to get back. Maybe more time than its worth. Try another company unless you want to see money float away into thin air and chat endlessly.
